TOOLS

This hypertext is divided in two main parts, Growing a Man, and Finis. The first talks about how a "man" is made, different views by different cultures. It explains the steps a boy must take to be a man.

The first step, Initiation, has two points to follow. In New Guinea a boy at age of seven is treated as a man and is trained to be a warrior, they are also purged to get rid of any female pollution; secondly, men are afraid of pregnancy and often simulates menstruation. Upper classes do not mix betweetn boys and girls.

In Western countries, boys attend the school apart from girls, they learn different things, for example in Nazy Germany more boys belonged to the Hitler Youth Movement than girls. Hitler carried out the need of men to be beauty, a standard that was set by 1750. Jewish ugliness was persecuted. Tarzan and Superman were other myths of men beauty. This is the second step, Indoctrination,

The third one, Documentation, explains two views: Science, based on the difference between the men and women's brain, the therapy that doctors follows, what doctors says and conditions; the other view is History, what important people think about differences between men and women.

The last one, Adult Responsibility. Women are being influenced by men more and more, and some people think that this is harmful to men

In the diagram above we can see the external structure. I must say that with this outline can be easier to follow the hypertext, but it has been difficult to understand.

The back is all in white while the letters are black, but there are some texts in red and in small letter difficult to read. There are titles in every pages, as well as                    photographs, which make easier to understand some sentences. The argument of the hypertext is not easy to understand due to its difficulty to follow, there is not a guideline, and there are pages that after reading, you do not know if they are the previous or the last ones.
