The
literary movement that I will try to analyse in my work is the feminism
in which appears Virginia Woolf.
Her book "A Room of One's Own" is about the economic independence of women,
necessary to have an own space to write. It is the importance of this subject
which motivates me to do this research.
So, in my final work I will Try to explain the main ideas that Virginia
developes in her essay such as the opression of women or the marginaton
of them in the political and cultural world.
On the other hand I will remark her possition against the political situation
in the century where she lives. Here, I will stablish a comparison between
Woolf and Mary Wolstonecraft, who was the first woman who talked
about the rights of women. Her book was a guide for Virginia and the ideas
of this, suggested her to do this essay.
But I think that the most important thing in this matter is the defence
of women's ideas: the defence that women are as capable as men to be writers
and because of this I will try to support these ideas explaining the complex
world of feminism
