Abstract : In this paper I’m
going to analyse John Keats’ ode called “Ode on Melancholy”,
one of the greatest poems of this author, whose main idea is that we have to
enjoy melancholy, I am going to defend that this poem is not a negative one as
it may seem, but its meaning is very positive.
Then I’m going to relate this ode with its historical context and
finally I’m going to relate it with today’s art and society.

and Robert Browning: Love in the Victorian era

in the Victorian era.
Abstract: In
this paper I am going to analyse how love was understood and which was its
importance during the Victorianism. In order to illustrate it better, I’m
going to talk about one of the most famous couples of this time: Robert
Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, above all I am going to focus my
attention on her because I think that the role of this woman during the
Victorian period was more important, and finally I am going to analyse one of
her love poems.
Auto-evaluation: I think I deserve to pass this subject
because I have made an effort to do my best.
