“Ashes to Ashes”, play of Harold Pinter; this play was carried out by the Royal Court in the “Ambassadors Theatre” on 12 of September of 1996, in London.

In this play appear only two personages: it is considered a man and a woman, Devlin and Rebecca; both of forty years old. For the context we have could to deduce that they knew it of time.

This play is carried out in a house of the city, possibly the house of Devlin. In it, they are speaking about the life of her, of her special friend, of her family, etc. It seems that he don't want that she goes with that boy, his objective is that  she wants to him; in conclusion, it seems that he is doing to her a kind of brainwashing. For the context we can deduce that he is the psychiatrist of her. He attempts to confuse it with things that they aren't truth during all the play, and she says things very rare about the sky, an imaginary train station where there are a lot of people, etc.

As we have said previously, all the play is carried out in the house of Devlin possibly. Therefore we can say that it is considered a only, urban and a very simple space. It is corresponded with a house of the city with two cupboards, two lamps and a garden.

With regard to time, we can say that the play makes reference to the present, mainly; but   there are any scenes that they make reference to the past, concretely when she speaks about her special friend.

Referring to the literary and stylistic resources, concerning the valuation of the language we can say that it is used the prose, and a language quite simple. The others aspects that we can emphasize are the economic ( that  it  would suppose a low cost of production due to the fact that there are few own elements of the stage) and the technical  aspects ( they would suppose few difficulty staging, due to the fact that there are few personages and very little atrezzo).

Personal opinion: It is a play very realistic for me, but I don't like as the boy tries to Rebecca; he wants to make to her a brainwashing. Also we can say that it is considered a play of easy comprehension.
