Matti Karjalainen) - films: in 1954 an adaptation in the CBS television series 'Climax!' offered the first dramatization of a Bond story, Barry Nelson starred as the notorious Jimmy Bond and Peter Lorre was Le Chiffre; 1967, dir. by John Huston, Ken Hughes, Val Guest, Robert Parrish, Joe McGarth, starring David Niven as James Bond, Deborah Kerr, Woody Allen, Orson Welles, see also Ben Hecht; 2006, dir. by Martin Campbell, starring Daniel Craig.

· LIVE AND LET DIE, 1954 - Elä ja anna toisten kuolla (suom. Arto Tuovinen) - film: 1973, dir. by Guy Hamilton, starring Roger Moore in his debut as James Bond. Paul McCartney's theme song became a hit record.

· MOONRAKER, 1955 - Kuuraketti (suom. Raimo Arhela) - film: 1979, dir. by Lewis Gilbert, Charles Gray as Blofeld. Connery announced that he would never play Bond again.

· DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, 1956 - Timantit ovat ikuisia (suom. Arto Tuovinen) - film: 1971, dir. by Guy Hamilton.

· FROM RUSSIA, WITH LOVE, 1957 - James Bond Istanbulissa (suom. Arto Tuovinen) - film: 1964, dir. by Terence Young. The second James Bond film.

· THE DIAMOND SMUGGLERS, 1957

· DR. NO, 1958 - Tohtori Ei (suom. Markku Lahtela) - film: 1963, dir. by Terence Young, starring Sean Connery in his debut as James Bond, and Ursula Andress. The first Bond film.

· GOLDFINGER, 1959 - 007 ja Kultasormi (suom. Harry Forsblom) - film: 1964, dir. by Guy Hamilton. Shirley Bassey's recording of the title song was a top-ten hit.

· FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, 1960 - Erittäin salainen (suom. Risto Raitio) - film: 1981, dir. by John Glen.

· THUNDERBALL, 1961 - Pallosalama (suom. Harry Forsblom) - films: 1965, dir. by Terence Young; 1983, Never Say Never Again, dir. by Irving Kershner, starring Sean Connery. Remake of Thunderball.

· THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, 1962 - 007 rakastettuni (suom. Mauri Sariola) - film: 1977, dir. by Lewis Gilbert.
