The road

The road is a scene that is repeated in loads of traditional stories, big majority of these scenes show an initiation trip in which the main character learns some knowledge while the action goes by. And also, the main character, finally, maturates and turns into someone completely different.

The road is the axis by which the action goes by. It is also, the connexion between the town and the city, the way by which the news and the gossip is transmitted.

The main character abandons his house the next morning, and without a clear destiny, he chooses the first road he sees, so destiny and luck will guide him to his new future.

Roads, by those moments, used to be very dusty. They were roads by which the merchandise and the cattle used to wander along. In these roads we could also found loads of characters that wander along with a lost direction, pedlars, penitents, poop people, jugglers, itinerants…

Precisely, in the road, our main character meets a man who seems to be interested on him. The youth doesn’t tell him who he is or where he used to live, because his father had forbidden him to do that, but he does tell him his desire of learning how to shudder and lets him know that he has a bit of many to whoever helps him to achieve his aim.
