CONCLUSION

I think this hypertext is very interesting and opens the way to a new vision about literature. Everyone is curious to see how the Internet and the computer generate new texts and new ways of reading. This hypertext gave me the chance to explore a world that I didn’t know before, a different genre and an alternative to the traditional ones. This hypertext confronts us with a reality that we see every day. Violence, natural disasters (hurricane), fights between members of the family and friends are facts that each person is submitted at least once in his life, but sometimes is ashamed to admit it. The formal structure is not very complicated, but is made complicated by the alternative scenes. The mixing of times gives the impression that we live in different times. The memories from childhood revive a time of happiness and sadness at the same time; each one of the memories seems to be said with a different tone. The language passes from calm and serene to cruel and rude depending on the character’s state of mind. From the most fragile age until maturity the experiences are more and each one leaves a trace in the heart and the mind of the author, making her view the world with other eyes meanwhile the world changes. There are a lot of characters in this hypertext, each one evolutions parallel to the narrator. They seem to be friends, relatives or simple people that had a great impact over the writer. An example could be the old woman who had an accident when she was 14 and who, after so many years, she still remembers. There are a series of chapters, if we can name them like that, in which the situation of each character is described randomly. The interference of different situations lived by different characters tend to make the text ambiguous and hard to follow. In spite of that, after several readings we realize that is a text that is worth reading.
