Though a detailed description of each character can be found in most of the links that I include below, it is important to remember some aspects that can interest the reader before losing the thread of the novel (which is not an unusual thing actually). We add to the character of the "antihero" that of the "girl" which is quite usual, but here we find a slight but interesting modification. I warn you this is a "spoiler" so don't continue reading if you don't want to know a vital part of information…
The difference here is that the "girl" does not end up with the "hero", and the reward the protagonist gets at the end of the novel (though he later on finds someone to share his life with) is a new organ and a few new gadgets to continue working as a symbol of counter reaction to the status quo he is living in now.
