Dangerous future…

Another possible idea in cyberpunk are the dangerous effects of technology on nature, and as a consequence of this, on human life. Often science fiction is defined as some kind of search, like the odyssey of man to find his status in the Universe, and thus, find his true identity, often hidden from us behind many technological and physical barriers. The divination of the consequences of technological development and sophistication is kept only to those authors that don't only have a wonderful foresightedness but also enough creative capacity to transmit their fears onto a page. But is you really want to know what the future will be like you can click here,

in this link you will discover all the different tendencies of the future of humanity, from Cyberpunk to Cybermodernism passing through Technocracy and others, a very well written article that really gives a good insight into what the future will be in terms of human though. Humanity has witnessed amazing changes at a breath-taking speed in the last few years, even the last few centuries have been a constant change (though less obvious than recently). And this could only end up in tragedy, when man's inventions grow faster than man's mind, there is bound to be some kind of complication.

We could draw a line and compare the situation we live nowadays with the industrial revolution. And cyberpunk does too in some ways. Economists believe that we are now experiencing the beginning of a very deep economic revolution, where probably concepts and ideas that in the past were the basis of the economy are now not that important. For example, there was a strong conviction in England, in the early Victorian times, that rapid future changes would take place and there were wide differences of view about the extent to which they would be beneficial, funny how familiar that sounds to us nowadays, when wondering for example about how beneficial will clonation be for humanity.
