     This project deals about one of the novels written by Jane Austen: Emma. I will analyse the aspects that made this novel a 
    comedy of manners. I will also comment other books written by Austen, her history background, predecessors and
    infuences. At last, a commentary about the films made (for TV or cinema) based in Emma, noting the loyalty or distance
    between them and the text.
