Title of the paper : Biography, books written by the author , books written about the author.

Author or topic : de Quincey, Thomas

Abstract : I will be basing my first paper on Thomas de Quincey, an English novelist who was very important in the 18^th century. I have chosen this author because, in my opinion, in spite of having a difficult childhood, he became an important writer.

My analysis, will include the following points: some biographies about the author, as I think it of great interest to know about his life and his works; I have also focused on some of his works, including in his most famous work: “Confessions of an English Opium Eater”, as it seems fascinating to me and it gives us an insight on aspects about life and character of the author. Finally, I have deciding to add some critical comments or thoughts by other authors about Thomas de Quincey.

Auto-evaluation: After doing my research, I think that I deserve a grade in the range of a seven. I consider this grade to be appropriate because I had to make a considerable effort in order to create my website. I hadn’t knowledge of web page creation but I have come to learn many new computing skills.
