Abstract: Peter Howard
was born in 1957 in Nottingham, UK. He's author of various poems for adults and children
and hypertext.
There is also an interview
from some years ago. I’m going to analyze his piece "The Rainbow Factory"
he describes it as a parody, or series of parodies. First of all I’m going to
give some definitions
of hypertext, then I’m going to give a general introduction
to The Rainbow Factory and then study the meaning beyond the
windows and analyze them. Although it was written some years ago it
discusses very actual arguments such as financial scandals, fashion's obsession with changing trends.
it also talks about hypocrisy, and between the official and real version of
what happens in a company. I also used the emails between
the author and an old student to understand the text.
Auto- evaluation: For the time spent, topics covered
relating to the author and the analysis of his work I think I deserve a B+/A-
(8/10) on this paper.
