So this is it…, this project is the result of seeking information, through
books and Internet, I must admit it was a very difficult project, because
there wasn´t much information about Daniel Defoe on the internet,
just the kind of subjects, like biographies ( a lot on that subject) and
bibliographies (of books!). For a more profound analysis of the author
and the novel, I had to search through manuals and anthologies and also
through different publications of the novel, three of them to be exact.
But after all this work, I must confess it was all very well worth
it, I discovered many interesting things about Daniel Defoe and his time
and also the meaning behind his novel " Robinson Crusoe".
In the making of this project I have tried to focus on all areas of Daniel Defoe´s ideas and beleifs, like Religion, Economy, Colonialism, Realism… and also a very unknown aspect about Defoe´s inclination on the education of women, It was, indeed, very strange, that a man of the eighteenth century could ever worry about the education of women, since in his time, women were forbidden to receive the same education as men.
To conclude, I hope you have enjoyed the reading of this project, and
also I hope you have learned something more about
Daniel Defoe, and if you haven´t read " Robinson Crusoe" yet,
What are you waiting for?.
