I am intrigued as
to what would enable Jane Austen to become a successful writer in the 19th
century.
She began to write when she was young. She was not living in a literary environment. She died young so all her books were written in a short period of time.
To attain success as
a writer is difficult even now when women have gained a little more equality.
What is in her novels that caught the attention of the public at
the time? What is it that is still capable of attracting the attention
of the public almost 200 years later?
