TITLE: 'Madness in Shakespeare and Cervantes'

ABSTRACT: This work aims to offer an approach to the issue of madness in Shakespeare and Cervantes in general, in King Lear and Don Quixote in particular. What I intend to present here is an interdisciplinary approach to the literary use and meaning of madness within  the work of this authors, we will explore significant points they have in common and we will also study the role of madness within their socio-cultural context.
