Conclusion
This project was born from our will to contribute to the bidirectional nourishment of the World Wide Web in general, to the feeding of the virtual library UVPress has become in particular; we wish our aim had been achieved and someone somewhere finds our contribution useful.
From this project, we have also attempted a discussion about the Internet as a tool for humanistic research in general, for literary research in particular. In this respect, it is necessary to comment that, thanks to the enormous potentialities the Net offers to its users, we have been able to present an interdisciplinary approach to the literary use and meaning of madness within the work of Shakespeare and Cervantes, we have been able to explore those significant points they have in common and we have been also able to study the role of madness within the socio-cultural context of the time. We think that the pages we offer from here come to confirm that our second goal has been also fulfilled.
Nevertheless, we also feel necessary to comment that the whole self-learning process that this project has required has also implied a hard work, since our inexperience as users has not contributed to the smoothness of the task -but everybody knows there is no reward without pain-.
We have found some difficulties regarding the searches and the evaluation of the sources, that is why we have previously described the Net as an incredible, but incredibly untidy, library. We have also come across many and varied problems when publishing our material, since the novelty of the multi-media world has played a lot of tricks on us. But, 'trial and error' always works, and despite of the fact that there have been times when we have been completely hopeless and desperate, we have finally managed to do it! And we feel proud of the result. As a teacher of mine told me not long ago, it has been never easy walking along unknown paths...
