Plot
The Editor received a peremptory demand from a
young woman who signed herself "Josephine de Montmorenci" that he
publishes her story in his magazine. Amused by the letter, he requested her to
call. She proved to be a charming young woman who confessed that she had used
an assumed name, which she considered more distinguished than her own, Mrs. Puffle and that the novel was not hers but had been written
by her sister-in-law Maryanne Puffle.
