Edinburgh is the second largest city of Scotland after Glasgow, and the second most visited place of the United Kingdom after London. It is also known as the Athens of the North and it’s famous for the Edinburgh Festival. It was possibly named so by King Edwin of Northumbria and it translates to Fort of Edwin.
