In this paper a study of existing solutions to the problem of autonomous navigation for the blind in environments of their daily lives and for this we have looked at different sources such as patents, scientific publications and other news different sources. This information is analyzed and conclusions drawn relevant for a navigation device for the blind. After appointing the scientific and engineering principles to keep in consideration for a navigation device for blind, and outlines a novel solution to the problem raised, based on the user control that has on the signal emitted, as well as the machine communicates with the user (mecanorrecepcióna through the pads of the fingers) Furthermore we have proposed a test system based on PC allows the development of the proposed solution. First is simulated with the FDTD algorithm, then it experimentally card data acquisition and control PC, combined with transmission ultrasonic transducers Air. The study is raised so that the development solution proposal serves to solve a lot of similar problems involving digital signal processing and / or process control.
