WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF THE THEATRE? IS IT ON INTERNTET?
On starting the future of the theatre is the internet, because all of as
will be, one day walking on internet although nowadays there are a lot things
in internet.
The Virtual Theatre project aims to
provide a multimedia environment in which users can play all of the creative
roles associated with producing plays and stories in an improvisational theatre
company. These roles include producer, playwright, casing director, set
designer, music director, real-time director and actors. Intelligent agents
fill roles no assumed by the user.
In particular, in a typical production,
animated actors perform the play in a multi-media set, all under the
supervision of an automated stage or story manager. Actors not only follow
scripts and take interactive direction from the users. They bring
"life-like" qualities to their performances; for example, variability
and idiosyncrasies in their behaviour and affective expressiveness. They also
improvise, thus collaborating on the creative process. Each time the actors
perform a given script or follow a given direction, they may improvise
differently. Thus, users enjoy the combined pleasures of seeing their own works
performed and being surprised by the improvisational performances of actors.
Current research focuses on
building individual characters that can take direction from the user or the
environment, and act according to these directions in ways that are consistent
with their unique emotions, moods, and personalities. In addition to its
primary merits as a tested for important research issues in artificial
intelligence, the Virtual Theatre offers attractive opportunities for
interdisplinary collaboration.
That can be a kind of theatre in the
future which anybody can see in their house, on their computers, but the plays
lose a lot of things, for instance people watching theatre in their houses will
be as if they will be see a film on a television and they must buy the ticket
to see this, therefore theatre buildings will be come museums. But people do
not see the characters at the scene and they will lose the emotion from living
this.
The
cinema is an enemy from the theatre because, it is cheaper than theatre, it is
more announced and young people think that is more interesting because they do not go to the theatre a lot,
but some companies try that the theatre are able to continue better as at the
present. One company is Florida Shakespeare Theatre
One example is the mission of the

By
emphasizing non-traditional casting and employing the best of our local
creative force, FST endeavours to meet the needs of our diverse community. FST
is committed to the enrichment of the local actor, director, designer, and
technician - providing them the opportunity of achieving artistic acclaim in
this region.
FST
believes the future of theatre can only be assured by the development of young
audiences. Therefore, FST's in-house main stage and in-school touring
educational programs are major components of the theatre. Furthermore, FST
welcomes the opportunity to address some of the needs in our community though
special programs for at-risk youth, as well as supporting as many worthy causes
as possible through our theatrical productions.
The
specific goals of the FST educational programs include teaching students to
listen, to discern and to think both critically and creatively; increasing each
students cultural awareness and building self-esteem by being involved with
quality theatrical presentations that educate as well as entertain; and
enriching the spirit, provoking the intellect and expanding life experiences of
students who come from the diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds that make
our community so vibrant and dynamic.
In
In my opinion people should go to the theatre because
you are able to live the story with the characters. Although theatres should be
cheaper than now and in the future will be better go to the theatre.
