CHARACTERS

LUCKY

He has a bad tempered, he is Pozzo's slave, although he doesn't speak a lot.

ESTRAGON

He is 60 years old and he always forgets all.

VLADIMIR

He is 60 years old but he seems more inteligent than Estragon, they are friends and they are waiting for Godot.

POZZO

He treats very bad to Pozzo ( he seems his slave) but in the end he is still to be done blind.

A BOY

He works to Godot and he says to Estragon and Vladimir that Godot  appears the next day although he does not apperar, after he says that he do not meet them.

SUMMARY

Two men, Estragon and Bladimir, are waiting for Godot. Nobody know who is Godot, and the characters do not meet with him only they are waiting him. Vladimir and Estragon meeting each other near a tree. They express their happiness to see each other and to pass time they start talking about various things like the bible. They are passing the time while waiting for Godot. They are trying commit a suicide but they do not get. They meet with Pozzo and Lucky. Lucky does not speak very much but when he speaks always says some silly thing.

They meet a boy that he works to Godot and he has a message from Godot, that he can’t come that evening but will be there the next but the next evening does not appear, and the boy says that the do not meet them.

The play happen in an open space, next to a tree

TIME

The play happen in two days, two acts. The story is told chronological and there and contains two evenings.

LANGUAGE

The author writes prose. He uses a colloquial language. The main prupose is audienci or the readers understand what the author writes.

PERSONAL OPINION

I think that Godot is their God but he does not exist, he is only an idea to surpass the fear. This is an absurb play because nobody kwo who is Godot and the two “silly” men are all the play waiting to Godot.
