In my paper, the author I have chosen is Lewis Carrol. Firstly, the aim of this study is the analysis of his cultural and social context which is Victorianism. Secondly, I am gonig to focus on his literary relations and techniques such as themes, style, genre, and mode. Moreover, I will analyse the ground rules of fantasy because it is one of the Carrol´s main characteristics. I will try to show how he will use the fantasy and his symbolism in his writings like Alice´s Adventures in Wonderland. Finally, this paper deals with the contrast of fantasy and reality, by being based on defying rules of Realism.
