MY OPINION :

It’s not easy to understand the end of this dramatic and tragic story . At the end , the pretty and young Dorian Gray , dies alone in the same room where some months ago killed his friend Basyl .

Dorian has decided to sell his soul for his beauty : "If it were I who were to be always young and the picture to grow old... I would give my soul for it" . The young boy , so , has made a pact with the same devil , the only one who seems to be able to make his dream come true .

But , in the end , what’s the meaning of the beauty ? , more , why does people search always for "miracles" to mantain a young and beauty face?

It’s not clear to give a definitive and precise answer . In the case of Dorian Gray , maybe because he couldn’t accept the passage of time as a fact of life? .

He wanted to stay young and pretty forever but that was an impossible dream . We’re persons , so , we have to grow , more and more till the day of our death and no-one can escape from this natural law . If somebody tries it , his final will be terrible . The best example , the poor Dorian . Maybe the main reason who pushed him to make this terrible exchange (his soul for his beauty) was the big influence that his worldly and cynic friend Lord Henry exerced in him . Friends . Sometimes you can’t imagine the terrible troubles and problems they cause . Even if they deny it . It’s very difficult to find a good friend . Maybe Basyl . But because of this sincer friendship towards Dorian , he’ll die too . And nobody misses him . If you trie to be good everybody tries to kill you , even your older friends . So , you have to be very carefull , you can’t trust anyone ; everybody is your ennemy , even if you trie your best . Perhaps those persons we call "friends" does not exist .

It’s only that we have the need to trust in somebody , we need somebody to can relate our experiences and the
evenements that take place in our lives . Cause if we don´t make it ,what¨s the sense of our lives ¿ We all have heard that famous sentence :¨´the one who has a friend has a treasure¨ . But the question now would be : what kind of treasure ¿

I can´t give you an answer , that´s a question for you .
