Space
Next
we will analyze the space of the work, all places that appear throughout the
argument.
In Twelve Blue can be seen several places along the plot.
At first the story moves us to a
forest with a river. This space is very important in the play because it is the
place of origin of the dead child’s rumor in the river, that unleashes the
pensive character of the protagonist and that somehow might change Samantha's
life.
With this fact, the author explains
how the girl reflects on important issues such as death, something we all have
done sometime. So he humanizes her and we can get to identify.
With smaller importance, it appears
spaces as the beach, where Samantha ask his father, showing curious about
things like sex. The kitchen is another of the spaces where Samantha, her
mother and sister meet to talk for hours.
One of the spaces better been
described is the cascade of the river, where she used to go with her boyfriend
Jorge. Here it is described in detail, especially the rocks.
