INTRODUCTION

The hypertext on which I am going to work is Dorothy Abrona McCrae created by Judy Malloy. This was begun as an online serial in April, 2000. A new instalment was added each month. The final instalment was posted in December, 2000.

Narrated by an 81 year old "Bay Area Figurative" painter, Dorothy Abrona McCrae is a lexical-based narrative in which the details of the narrator's life are intertwined with a past that is disclosed through descriptions of her work. The story is set in her studio/residence in the California Gold Country foothills.

Throughout the story, the narrator, which is the protagonist, will be relating her autobiography, telling all that happens around hers and on her live. Since, she prefer write her life before than someone misinterpret it.

The main part of my paper will consist of an analysis of the external vision of the hypertext. Also, I’m going to do an analysis of the argument and an outline with all the possible paths that we can follow in the hypertext.
