I am going to analyze the work of Walter Scott, specially his book : Rob Roy ; and the effects of this book in the English Literature. I will introduce you in the context of this book and I will talk about the relation between Walter Scott ´s work and the literary tendencies of his age. I will try to explain why is so important this book and its historic point of view. The distinction between this work and the others is that I will introduce in the work a personal criticism of the novel, of Scott´s literature, of literature in general...
