Title of the paper: “Is Hope Nature?”

 

Author or topic: “Influence of Natural Objects” by William Wordsworth and “In Memoriam A. H. H. OBIIT MDCCCXXXIII” by Alfred Lord Tennyson.

 

Abstract: I have chosen these authors because in my opinion there is a relation between them. Trough this paper I have realized how William Wordsworth influenced Tennyson’s poetry. I have also suffered with him the lost of his friend. He trough his poetry involves the reader in his mind and we can feel his suffering and emotions. On the other hand, comparing both periods, the Victorian and the Romantic I have learned the differences between them and how society was changing. These changes are always presented in their poetry, as we have realized. We have seen in this paper two different points of view of a same aspect: death and nature. First of all, I have analyzed the poem comparing it to “Influence of Natural Objects” by William Wordsworth. Then I have talked about the aspects that both authors have in common. Lastly, I’ve included the most important events in both periods in the Romantic and in the Victorian for a better understanding of their poetry. Finally I would like to add that both authors were Laureate’s Poets.

 

Auto- evaluation:  In my opinion, I think I have treated all the aspects and important points you recommended us. It has been an amazing work because at the same time I was looking for information I was learning more about both periods, authors, social and cultural background and especially about them, William Wordsworth and Alfred Lord Tennyson. I hope you will enjoy my paper. It has been a hard bone to chew but I have achieved it!
