Analysis of the chapter 2
The
name of this chapter is “ritual with trees develops male identity”. Here
she compare white milk sap by the trees with the semen of men and she show how
was the chilhood of Jamison by a quote of the “woman”.
The
images represent faces of the tree, like a human when grow up, to compare them
with the growth of Jamison when she was a child and an adolescent.
This
time the photos are black and white and they are supported with the commentary
of the main character, who tried to be a girl.
