CONCLUSION
After analysing the
artwork of Sonya Rapoport, I´ve realized of the originality of her to talk
about a topic, as is the transsexuality, making contrast with the rite of Pandanus
tree in New Guinea. Although this is a fiction story based on something real,
there are cultures who believe in all these treatments with nature and who
follows this kind of rites in which
nature has a very important role.
To sum up, after all,
Jamison was James and his aim was achieved and in the narrative, after all the
process, he changed her voice, body and taught us that the identity is into
gender and not sex, and if your identity not corresponds with her/his body you
not have to hide from anyone.
