I would like to develop
a study about Joseph Conrad and his most famous novel, Heart of Darkness.
I am very interested in trying to explain the new technique
that Conrad uses to write this magnificent novel. I am also going
to study the social context of Conrad' s time, but not in depth, cause
I think this aspect is secondary. In my opinion the biography of
this author is very singular, and it can help us to understand this
novel. The personality of Joseph Conrad is quite relevant in some aspects
of this novel. Therfore sometimes it's interesting . But the
most important thing is the study of the novel itself, that is, the representation
of Conrad' s feelings, obsessions, fears... The psychological portraits
of the characters and specially the figures of Marlow and Kurtz will be
the main point of my work, but I will not avoid aspects so essential as
the language and narrative skills that Conrad uses
to write this novel.
