Dramatis personae

Marcos      A man on his sixties. He is an engineer.  He is very intransigent and looses

                   his temper very easily. He is aware of that and takes homeopathic

                   remedies to treat it, in fact he takes them very often during the play 

.Sergio        A successful young dermatologist. He is a prototypic yuppie. He loves

                  modern art and he idealizes his favourite painters. Is a self-confident man.

Ivan           A medium age man without any carrier. He is a vague person. He

                   has problems expressing his point of view because he likes to please

                   others. He is scared to say the truth if he things it is going to cost him to

                   loose a friend. He goes regularly to a psychologist and he mentions him.

                   He is going to get married to a wealthy young woman whose family has

                   given him a job on their company.

 

Plot

Sergio has bought a completely white picture of a famous painter that has cost him two hundred thousand francs. When his friend Marcos finds out about it he goes mad, he gets very angry with Sergio.

 

Space

They are indoors, always at home of one of them.

 

Lightings

There is a blue light every time that each one of the characters talks to himself. Most often saying the opposite that he is saying laud to the others.

 

Dressing

They all wear formally, with suit but without tie. The colour of their suit changes but Sergio is almost all the play wearing a light, almost white suit. Marcos usually wears a greyish suit and Ivan is the one that more changes suit.

 

 

 

Atrezzo

There is always a white three-piece suit with a low table in the middle that makes the living-room for the houses of each one of them. Only changes the picture in the background  depending in which house we are.

 

 

Atmosphere in the theatre

People keeps laughing all the way through the play. They also applaud in the middle of a scene, so much that I could not even hear the speech of the actors.

 

Personal opinion

I think it is a very good play. It is a tragicomedy that analyzes the mystery of friendship-ness. Putting this kind of relationship to the same level that we usually put love stories. I think this is very good because we use to give much more importance to love affairs than we give to friends. A good friend is as difficult to find as a good lover. On the other hand the actors play it very well. Marcos has during the whole play a red face from anger. Sergio and Ivan do a very good job too.
