lashes the hypocrisy and mediocrity of the society of his time with
smooth and splendid style.

John Worthing, a serious and dignified person, lives
in his country place.He is the master of Cecilia Cardew who is 18 years
old.
John has invented a brother named Ernst, so he must
travel many times to London. He will be Ernst Worthing there and he will
fall in love with Gwendolen Fairfax, cousin of John ' s friend. Both Gwendolen
Fairfax and Ernst Worthing want to get married but Gwendolen ' s mother
doesn ' t want because Ernst had appeared into a suitcase
in Victoria station.
John decided to get rid of his brother.Then Algernon
appeared with the name of Ernst because he loved Cecilia and both
fell in love.
Later John will say that his brother Ernst has died
in Paris.So Cecilia gets angry and the confusion is evident.Then it will
be discovered that John is Lady Bracknell ' s nephew and he
will get marry with Gwendolen, Algernon with Cecilia and finally the Reverend
Father Chusable with Miss Prism who left John in Victoria station.
