4.Conclusion:

 

Shakespeare shows in this play two kinds of women, the one who follows the rules of the Decorum (the good manners and proper behaviour that women should show at the time) and the one who rejects this submission. Baptiste’s daughters are able to behave in both ways, Bianca was docile and became a “shrew” while her sister was the “shrew” of the story and was tamed. The difference is that Bianca acts more intelligently, she offers her suitors and her father the image they want to see in order to achieve what she wants, she manipulates them although women had very little power over men (in theory) in Elizabethan times.
