Personal Opinion
I have never read a hypertext before and it has been a
new experience for me. I find interesting the way you can read one only
novel, but focusing in more than one aspect or story at the same time,
I mean, a parallel aspect ocuring at the same time.
The aspect to talk about was the Time, but the author
don't give exact dates and don't make any concret time references, but
more or less we can deduce by the context or by some comentaries of the
main character, Jenny, that the acction takes place during five months
aproximatelly, from September to January.
The space are very extended because Jenny talks about
many diferent places during the text. She talks about California,
Haiti, Colorado, etc...
Maybe one deafault of the text is that sometimes, it's
hard to recognise when the author is talking about the present of
Jenny, or is still talking about one of her dreams or even if it's
talking about a real past experience. That is just becouse the pages of
the text are not structured in a lineal form. If in total there are 4
pararell situations ocuring at the same time, the author dont write one
of them completely, then another an then another, she juts tell a bit
of one, another bit of another one, then talks again about the firts
one and so on.
The argument of the text, in my opinion is quite
boring. The only thing to resalt is that Jeff's project has been stolen
by Tom. The rest is all about Jenny, her dreams, her past and her loves.
In File3, most of the last pages are repited. I don't
know if the author makes it conciously because in some of them, there
is only a part of the page that is repeated, but not all.
Another thing that I don't like is that are supposed to
deduce many thing that are not writen. For example, in File1 and File2
Jenny is still working as a babysiter for Broadthrows family, buy in
File3 she is sudenly working in a office as a wordprocessor, and we
don't know anything about that repentine change.
That's only my opinion, maybe am wrong about it and many other people find it very interesting.
