TITTLE OF PAPER: Investigation of Robinson Crusoe.
AUTHOR OR TOPIC: Daniel Defoe.
ABSTRACT OR SUMMARY:
This work aims at giving a brief study of one of the most important English novelsof the 18th century.
Robinson Crusoe was published in 1719, towards the end of Daniel Defoe's literary career. Although it is a novel coming from 18th century, it could be said its influence is still important nowadays.
I will focus this work on three basic ideas, which I find relevant in order to acquire a full comprehesion of the novel.
The first I will try to place Robinson Crusoe within its historical and social context.
The secondly I will talk abaout higlights what’s the place the novel occupies in the English literature at the moment it was written.
Finally I will explain which was Daniel Defoe's first intention to write his novel.
