ABSTRACT:

    In this work I am going to talk about the famous Victorian writer Wilkie Collins (1824-1889), a close friend of Charles Dickens.

    I will talk about his life and publications, mainly of his first novel "Antonina" because in that year 2000 is its 150th anniversary.

    I will pay attention to the fact that his life and work were marked by Queen Victoria who reigned in the United Kingdoom during the second half of the 19th century (1837-1901).
