Abstract :

I am going to show my research on J.M. Coetzee, South African (9th Feb, 1940) author awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature (2003) and twice awarded the Booker Prize. The aspects I am going to deal with in this essay are biographies and works of the author. Despite this author had not been mentioned in the list given at the beginning of the academic year, we thought (me and Dr. Forés) that J.M. Coetzee was worth to being given an academic space on the net in order for others to discover this author and go on researching about him and, why not, reading his works, that I found very interesting.

J. M. Coetzee has been one of the most important authors in post-colonial literature after Joseph Conrad, and in works such as “Disgrace” or “Waiting for the Barbarians”, the author shows us how a new sight of reality in post-colonial South Africa.
