A research work
about the famous novel " The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman"
and its influence on the Modernist Novel.
Sterne looked to Cervantes, on the other hand,
without Sterne the work of Gide, Proust, Woolf, Joyce, the Jameses, Bergson
and Freud could not have been possible.
In Davis´ words, "Sterne not alumbrates
the Modernist Novel he is the best exemplar of its form."
