Seigow Matsuoka’s Review on “Don Quixote”

    This is a link that belongs to the ISIS (Interactive System of Inter Scores) Edit School, whose Director is Seigow Matsuoka. ISIS is a school that helps the students how deal with all the texts and information that is available in the world. This schools prepares the students to become future journalists, writers or critics on the world written information.

    The main link we are introducing in this section takes us to a page were we can find an extensive article written by Matsuoka on Cervantes　accompanied by some images of Don Quixote, and some of editions of the novel. Matsuoka is also a teacher of literature of Tokyo University. The contents not only offers us Matsuoka’s personal point of view, but it is an interesting insight on Cervantes’ life and the historical time in which he lived, and how both, the author’s life experience and the historical period, influenced in the writing of “Don Quixote”. In his essay we find definitions of the Baroque literature and art, as well as method they were represented in many ways within the novel. There is also a commentary on some editions of “Don Quixote”, as well as essays collections on the novel and some books about Spanish history.
