Japanese Wikipedia: Don Quixote

The extension and the contents of this article are very extensive if we compare them to the article on Cervantes we presented in a former section. However it is still very reduced if we compare it to the English or Spanish versions of the Wikipedia.

As for the contents of the index, we have a brief introduction on the plot of the novel. Then, there is a section on the various editions of the novel, and the controversy created by Avellaneda and all the forgery problems that occurred related to the second part of the book. There is a section on the metafiction part of the novel, with all the mixture of reality and fiction that Cervantes tried, like the mentions of other existing writers on the novel, the pretending that the novel was written by an Arab, or the way the second part of the novel starts. Other sections include an introduction of the main characters, as well as the description of a few famous passages. The next link is about the presence of Don Quixote in other media like music, movies or Ballet. The last link is a list of the most famous Japanese translations of the novel.

The article is accompanied by some pictures, completing the ideas on the text. Although a little bit reduced compared to other versions, it gives us a very comprehensive summary of the novel and the environment in which it was originally created.
