We will try to analyse Lawrence’s conception of the existence and the destiny of human beings on the Earth: we should get rid of the intellectualism and of such artificial as inhuman civilisation to come back to sexual freedom.

To do so, we will focus on his most famous and scandalous book: Lady Chatterley’s Lover, which shocked the caduceus English post-war society.

Lady Chatterley is hidden under a mask of a conventional society and finally she breaks with all this conventionality to find the sexual plenitude.
