Abstract: Doris Lessing was born in Iran, in Kermanshah, the 22 nd October 1919, although her nationality is English. I am going to analyse some important aspects (in my opinion the most important ones) about her, the winner of the 2007 Literary Nobel Prize and the 2001 Príncipe de Asturias award. The aspects I am going to focus on are “Biography” and “Books written by the author” , points which I have chosen after having talked to my colleagues who have selected the same author. I will include seventeen biographies (some of them are in English, some in Spanish) and several complete bibliographies. I will also annex some interesting links I have found when looking for information about her and her most famous quotations . I have chosen her in particular because her work and literary style were rather unknown for me, and I thought that it would be interesting to discover something else about this prolific author.
Auto-evaluation: As Doris Lessing has been news recently, I have easily found lots of information about her, but here I have included the most completed pages, otherwise it would have been a bit redundant. I have made a great effort in choosing the information throughout the huge ocean the Internet is, so I think I deserve a good grade. I hope that you agree with me in the fact that I deserve a grade in the region of a seven.
