FERRIS WHEELS

 

 In this chapter, the narrator, explains us that everything begin at the “centre” of the Wheel. She (the narrator) explain us that this is a kind of ritual that she do.

The narrator stars to be in confidence with us (the readers) when she explain us that two years ago she got marriage but then she divorced. Then, the protagonist comes back to the present when she and her boyfriend are in the fair. After that, her boyfriend asks her for a petition, so she avoids him proposing a ride in the ferris wheels. She has a lot of to think.

 

 

REACH

 

In chapter two appear a rebuilt and it is compared with their relationship because her partner says that no “barriers” should separate them, and this meaning that there is not any impediment for the petition.

 

 

ENTER

 

Chapter three is when the narrator and her boyfriend are on the queue and when they have to buy the tickets, the woman who is there says that they need to buy twenty tickets although they are going to the ferris wheel only. This mean that she needs more than one “ride” to think about what are her objectives in life (and this involve the answer to her boyfriend) and she has time to reach and try them.

 

 

DENY

 

In this chapter a little boy is running away from his mum and the people do nothing so the protagonists’ partner decide to run towards the boy to help him.

 

 

TURN

 

This chapter describes an old couple that seems to be so in love and to live happy forever. This is reflected when the old couple decide to go to the end of the ferris wheel together.

 

 

FOREVER

 

Chapter six appear a teenagers’ couple. They do not want to ride to the end, they want to live their lifes. And this is that the protagonists’ partner think too.

 

 

FALSEHOOD

 

This time the protagonist has to face to her afraid towards the heights. When she was seven years old, her father took her on the roller coaster four minutes. Then she was not afraid but, returning to the present she is remembering that fear but now she is calmed. In this situation she discovers she needs more time to think about her marriage.

 

 

AGAINST TIDES

 

This is an important chapter because she thinks about what is the marriage: it is share all situations together (with her partner): bad and good once. She asks herself if she really is able to the marriage.

 

 

EACH OTHER

 

In chapter nine the protagonist says that she wishes to go to Japan someday, but suddenly the couple start to remember the past because her boyfriend begins to do erotic movements to her.

 

 

BLACK

 

In this chapter the narrator wants to stop thinking about her decision. This is represented, in the wheel, by an attempt when she falls from the wheels but suddenly her boyfriend brings her to the reality.

 

 

MINUTE TRUTHS

 

Chapter eleven describe a new face of the protagonist because she starts to think about the little things in life like minutes and seconds.

 

 

FAR OFF STARS

 

This chapter continues with the ride on the ferris wheel. She looks the invisible stars and compare that they are invisible.

 

 

DISTANT GALAXIES

 

Chapter thirteen is when they (the protagonist and her boyfriend) should explore new places to get put from their own world, to a much broader one. This include visit the stars because it has not limit (like the new world that they should explore).

 

 

NOTHING

 

In this chapter the protagonists’ boyfriend talks about the decisions that are really important and that it has to be stuck and its consequences too, although this consequences will be good or bad. When her boyfriend talks about this, she starts to think when her father taught her karate to defend of kidnappers and she would feel safe and secure with her marriage because she thinks that her situation is not as horrible as her father taught her about kidnappers.

 

 

EVERYTHING

 

Chapter fifteen is represented by the elderly couple. The narrator asks herself what make her happy? And she think when her boyfriend run his fingers through her hair but, on a different way, she thinks about the things like: mortgages, debts, etc. and about the insurances and how these things can erase the little things that make her happy. And when she looks at her boyfriend happily, she thinks that they are a great team together and she thinks that these things are because of she is in love to him.

 

 

FRIENDSHIP

 

This chapter take us to the end of their ride, they watch the little boy, the old couple and in this moment she thinks that she want to be with her boyfriend  in their journey through the life.

 

 

REALITY

 

In this last chapter the protagonist is agree to get marry with her boyfriend, balancing the idea of the true love and the real marriage.
