In this work I will talk about the topic of a literary trade: The Structuralism. I will try to explain carefully the most important characteristics of the movement which appeared during the 20^th century. Before the explanation of the said characteristics, I’ll talk about the schools that appeared during this period (Prague, Copenhagen and Geneva). I will mention, generally, the authors and works which belong to this trade, emphasizing the principal forerunner of this movement: F. de Saussure. Finally I will talk particularly about one of this authors, Strauss, explaining his work and his influence.
