Samuel Beckett is one of the most important writers in the 20th century. He was born on 13th, April, 1906 in Foxrock, Dublin and died in 1980. Along his life, he wrote several plays that brought him to the fame: Watt (1953), the trilogy Molloy (1951, 1955), Malone Dies (1951) The Unnameable (1953), Waiting for Godot (1953).  Some of his plays were written at first in french and translated into english.
