TITLE. New narrative techniques and the experimental novel in the context of Modernism. James Joyce as a master of style craftsmanship.

ABSTRACT: In my work I will be dealing with some aspects of the revolutionary narrative techniques of this movement mainly relating them to Joyce's works. Notwithstanding, my work will not be intensively developed but extensively, making a general survey throughout Modernism, Joyce and other authors as well as the situation in Post-Modernism narrative, which after the greatness of Joyce's extremely complicated Finnegan's Wake, remained with little to discover in the area of technique and language combination. I will be studying how 'stream of consciousness' works and how it was used by the modernists, as well as previous influences, contemporary and latter authors using another languages for art.
