Conclusion: We have been talking about hypertext since the course started; we have been dealing with articles that pointed out their advantages and its drawbacks as well, and also different points of view, some are for and some are against them.

It was the first time that I have had the opportunity of having read one of those texts, and I must admit that at first, it was I bit difficult to know where should I have gone, after finishing a page I am I was a bit lost.

I suddenly realized that the way I was told to read since I was a child was not allowed here, so I started to think in a ‘non-linear’ way until the end if the story, and after a second reading I have completely understood everything.

As we have been discussing so far, the hyper-text has advantages and disadvantages as well respect for the traditional way of reading, “the printed book”

As far as I am concerned it is much more better to open your mind and trying to think in a “non- linear way”, otherwise you become a linear thinker, and what’s more, non- linear do not always mean “chaos”, whenever you choose a “path”, you read linearly, so the thing is that there is no one linear way to read the text, as Charles Deemer suggest in his article, ‘What’s a hypertext?’

In the text itself, there are also lots of literally examples of virtual reality

The word 'loveone', with is the title of the hyper-text has its significance, it is not a word at random. The main topic of the text is a relationship between a man and a women, although there are other topics which hasn’t got the same importance and it  is related lots of times with electronic devices such as computers, laptops, palmtop

I want also to talk about the way in which the story is told, that is from the first person, that is to say, that the narrator is inside the story.

If it were an omniscient narrator, he could know the characters beliefs and thoughts, but being a first person narrator, she only can be aware of their own feelings, and what can only do is speculate about the rest of the characters.

I would say that the most important moment in the whole story is when Gunter asks Gwen if she wanted to be her wife and she answers with such a simple word as it is “yes”. What have caught my attention is the way it is proposed, that is not the commonest one, and it has a lot to do with this new world of communications.

This format is really useful when the writer want to emphasise that a person is dreaming, since going to an other page you feel that you have entered the dream [1] [2]

.

I would like to conclude by saying that it was a fantastic opportunity to have read this story, although it was a bit confusing at first, once you get used to it, it is just another way of reading, what’s more it would be the literacy of the following years, and the way the have to work and think from right now.
