Title of the paper: Dickens, the man and the writer.

Abstract or summary of the research in not more than 100 to max. 150 words:
    In my future work, I will deal with one of the greatest novelists in the English language. I am referring to the figure of Charles Dickens (1812-1870). I will talk about Charles Dickens both the man and the writer. Then, I will name some of his most famous and emblematical works, accompanied with its suitable commentaries and critics. But I will also point out how his success was not corresponded at home.
    I will also locate the author on his historical-social context: the Victorianism, and try to investigate in which way this age influenced on his narrative.
    Finally, it would be interesting to pay attention at the similarities and differences of Dickens with the rest of authors of that time and, more specifically, with one woman writer: Charlotte Brontë, as they are both placed in the first half of the XIX century, just when the sentimental novel starts. I will try to compare Dickens´ book Great expectations with Brontë´s Jane Eyre.
