            1.- 1689: Samuel Richardson was born in Derbyshire.

            2.- 1706: Samuel Richardson was apprenticed to the London printed John Wilde.

            3.- 1715: He became a freeman of the Stationers' Company.

            4.- 1718-19: He set up his own business.
 
            5.- 1721: He got married with Martha Wilde.

            6.- 1732: Samuel Richardson got married with Elizabeth Leake.

            7.- 1739: He acquired the lease of part of a house at North End.

            8.- 1741: He published Familiar Letters.

            9.- 1740-41: Samuel Richardson published Pamela.

            10.- 1747-48:  He published Clarissa; or the History of a Young Lady.

            11.- 1753-54: He published The History of Sir Charles Grandison.

            12.- 1761: Samuel Richardson died in Parsons Green.
