The Gothic Literature Page
is devoted to study of Gothic Literature in England from 1764 to 1820.
This site is intended to provide students and scholars of the Gothic novel
access to the growing number of resources available on the web. An introduction
to the Gothic novel, collected summaries, papers, critical and bibliographical
information and related sites are assembled together to expedite research.
There are four areas of primary information: The
Gothic Novel, which contains a brief history of the Gothic
form; Gothic Resources
which includes papers on the Gothic, Graveyard poetry and course syllabi,
as well as links to various sites devoted to Gothic Literature; A
Gothic Bibliography which contains an extensive index of Gothic
Novels, sorted by Author and year published, available online texts, a
list of critical sources and summaries of several rare Gothic Novels; and
Ann
Radcliffe, a source of bibliographical information of the
Gothic Novelist whose work has influenced and still resonates throughout
literature. Also included on this page are new sites, upcoming conferences
and calls for papers.
